Mr. Scott Murphy, Principal of Farquhar Middle School, will be our speaker.
November 6, 2007 - PTA Meeting
Dr. Ursula Hermann, Community Superintendent for the Northeast Consortium and Sherwood Clusters, has been confirmed as the speaker for this meeting to discuss No Child Left Behind (NCLB). Dr. Hermann will provide an overview of the law and how it impacts our children's education. She will discuss testing, define AYP and its importance, and address the upcoming issues being debated now that NCLB is up for renewal. Her presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
October 2, 2007 - PTA Meeting
Ms. Melanie Bachrach, a representative from the Division of Consortia Choice and Application Program Services will present information about special program options available at the elementary, middle, and high school level, including magnet programs and foreign language immersion programs. This will be an opportunity for you to hear an overview about a variety of programs prior to the individual program meetings scheduled throughout October and November. Timelines and application processes will be shared.

Come and meet your the 2007 - 2008 PTA Executive Committee and hear what we have planned for the upcoming year! The 2007 - 2008 SES PTA Budget will be presented for approval.
